First listen

Dropped the recorder over the reef edge at first light and let it sit for an hour before touching anything. The point of the first listen is never a result — it is to find out whether the thing is even there, and whether the file plays when you get home.

It played. Mostly the boat. But under the boat there is something that is not the boat, and that is the reason to go back tomorrow.
